About Me
I'm a post-doc at the Computer Engineering Group at ETH Zürich and work in close collaboration with partners from WSL on a hazard warning system using machine learning and wireless sensor networks.
My research interest include data analysis, signal processing and communications. I am focusing on improving large-scale acquisition and analysis of environmental data by using traditional and machine learning based approaches on various stages of the data acquisition pipeline. In addition, I am interested in how to communicate research results to experts and non-experts and how to involve them in the knowledge creation process.
Previously, I developed signal processing algorithms enabling high-speed optical communications at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology where I worked with the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics. Additionally, I pursued my interest in music by studying music computer science at the University of Music Karlsruhe.
I work on various side projects related to music (song writing, music production, algorithm development) and media arts (sound/video installation).
